Why Art?
As I look on the art on your forearm,
I stand in awe of the great craftsmanship.
Then lightning strikes on my brain with no harm
As I think of what is to come of this.
When the old garden man comes to take you
Then what of your art? What of your precious
Art that for the moment makes your arm new?
This thought thoroughly thinks with my conscience?
Was the body not worthy enough, kid?
Did God not do a good enough job, son?
Well YOLO I guess, it's great isn't it?
For the moment, it had to have been done.
Like tattoos compare to Art that cheats death,
Youth Only Breathe Once when they waste their breath.
