Why can't you love me too?

I've tried my hardest to stand tall Hid all my flaws behind a wall Smiled without reason for the world to see That I am strong and the best I could be I gave it my everything to be the one you want Done everything that's needed, even those I normally can't My personality I've changed completely To suit the expectations you wanted from me So why won't you be proud of me even just once Give me the attention I so want Show me I'm wanted and needed by you Why can't you love me too?

Getting better and correcting " mistakes" is very honorable. Sure, his people appreciate it and have his love.
