Why Change?

I was a child growing up with little hope little pride my little heart ached It stayed the same through my teenage years trapping my thoughts confusing myself with my own voices I wasn't okay and I didn't want the help The help was the same Repetitive words different therapists Then, recently, there it was my shining armor My reason for striving And it all came from me Not God, Not anyone, but me It took me many years to figure this out My positive mind took over Now, I am valuable I am excelling I am confident I am beautiful
