Looking again

Seeing you with your brand new friends

You don't miss me

You're glad I'm gone

We ended with a bang

You ran strong

I check on you

Every now and then

Getting sadder

And a little depressed

You were a great friend

In the time we had

But time goes on

And I understand

We weren't good together

Even if we thought we were

You brought me down

It was fun while it lasted

But I need closure

I know that won't happen

Because we've already said goodbye

I'm try to hold it together

So I don't cry tonight

This may not rhyme the way I wish

But it's from the heart

I wish I could fix it
