Why Did You Do This to Me?

Why?

It was so easy for you wasn't it.

To walk all over me,

Knowing that I would never leave and never let you go.

You were all I had left,

Because after all,

You took every other part of me with you.

I could never accept the fact that you were gone.

That last part of me,

Which was the reminants of manipulative words you put into my head,

Convinced me, that there was still hope,

And that you were still coming back.

A year went by,

And I decided to develop a sense of self again.

Not relying on what you thought of me to be my identity,

But rather piecing back together what I was before you.

I was finally happy again.

But then you came back.

Tore me back down,

Back to what I was when I was with you.

And now,

I'm that little piece of you all over again.

Why did you do this to me?
