Why did you go

Why did you go?

Why did you leave us alone?

Going from San Antonio to East Peoria in the middle of winter without you isn't what we wanted.

Now you are in a box on our mantle.

You won't walk me down the asle.

Or see your first grandchild.

I would rather have your arms around me and comfort me than a teddy bear with your voice in it.

Now that you are gone I miss you more

Why did you leave us alone?

Why did you go?
