Why Do I Always Stare At This Device?

Why do I always stare at this device?

It gives me reassurance and makes me feel I'm making something with my life

I listen to music that inspires me

Instagram and Snapchat brings smiles of glee

"Ooo I got updated on my Twitter feed"

Listen to rap with my headphones in

bobbing my head to the nice beat

Yet while I checked social media

I just missed my ACT

While I was on Snapchat

A teenage girl got falsely idolized and catcalled for her "fat" back

While I checked my Twitter

People blasted Chief Keef and now are hardcore pill hitters

See what this does to us

We just listen to its popularity and say "That could be us"

All of it

Attention

They don't give a shit

Just listen

Also

You think you did something with your life while you listened to that radio

Go back home and think about the reality you appearently didn't know
