Why Do I Cry?
Why do I cry when you enter a room?
And again when you don’t look at me?
It seems I still care for you
But you only show contempt for me.
Why can you text “I love you” so well
But In person the words falter
How can I trust you, how can I tell
If from your lies there is no shelter?
Why did you tell me to wait?
Tell me to love no other?
Then leave me easily the next day
And never turn back like I was a bother?
Why did I still believe you?
When once again you said you’d return
How could I believe you’d see it through?
And not realize had fast you’d U-turn.
Why do I still feel your touch?
The brush of your lips against mine
When will your gaze stop being too much
For my heart to take, for my innocent mind?
Why do I cry when you leave again?
Knowing you will return some day
To break my heart, to play a friend
Maybe next time, to you I will do the same…
