Why do I do it
Why
Why keep trying when the odds are a mountain
When angels wings are blooded and tearing why keep flying
You've been knocked down 7 times in round 1 yet you manage to keep fighting
If life is an arena, I'm a gladiator with my obstacles being the biggest of lions
Sometimes my conflicts feel like a snake around me
The more I try to move , the more it's muscles tighten
Why keep giving the students a test when they don't care and keep failing it
Nobody wants to hear the truth so why keep telling it
Why keep trying to teach the right thing to do
When doing the wrong thing is becoming popular
And growing like a cancer
Why they say, I'm usually a silent man
But this once, I'll give an answer
I tell them because
Fear, and failure are things I stand on along with the odds, so my promise Land, I may see
A God exist that cares for the angel and me
Inevitably isn't the characteristic of my defeat, but of my victory
Thee audience stares in amazement at my feats
Because the lion fears me
And sees the people who put him in there as his enemy
Hardships comes to me just as waves come from the sea
But a substance that can't be destroyed, stops the tsnumias from drowning me
Harmony in my heart, after everything seems to be going wrong
One in a million chance of hearing a unsung song sung
Persistence and Perservence are the only things it breathes in my soul and out its lungs
Eat everything every critic says cause even though they like the tears in my eyes stung
The words that flew from their tongues tried to form a rope that didn't last long
Cause my dreams and answers are too big to be hung
So what is it, they say
That has the power to change ill fate
That was so huge yesterday and so little in supply today
With everyday being a substitute, teaches us to cope
My answer, spelled by the poem itself, is but Faith and Hope
