Why do I have to be labeled?

Why do I have to be labeled?

Why does my sexual orientation interest you so much?

Why am I the one who constantly has to explain myself to those who question

“Are you sure you’re Bi?” “Wow. I never thought you were Bi.”

And Why are people so quick to share that they always assumed I wasn’t “straight”

“Oh I figured you weren’t straight.” “You give off more of a gay vibe.”

What does that even mean?

Do I act “gayer” around certain friends, and not others?

Does anyone even know what that means?

Do I?

And what if I’m not Bi?

What if I’m not straight?

Why does my sexuality have to be defined?

Why do I have to be defined and categorized?

Neatly filed away

A situation that’s black and white

But

It’s not

It’s grey

I’m grey

I don’t know what I am

And what “category” I belong to

If there even is a category I can belong to

Why do my feelings have to be packaged and put into boxes

Why do I have to be labeled?
Why can't this be changed?
