Why do I write?

Words create a story

Words convey emotions

Words are permanent expressions of how a person feels

Words are a writer's tool in creating truth-or lies

Words shape the world

Why do I write?

Everyone writes. At school, on essays. At home, when talking to friends.

But I write for a great escape

I am in control of a reality I wish to happen

Slithering my hands across this keyboard, I can tell anyone why I write and it could either be a truth or a lie

Writing shapes a reality that I wish to be in control of because I have no control of the same reality we live in

I have power in writing

Because I know that one day

My writing will be read by others

And it will hold the power to shape their realities that they dwell in

A vision of reality that will give them a drive to keep living on

And words that convey truths of the world I open their eyes to
