Why Do I Write?

Why do I write? Sometimes it is best at night where I am safe to close my eyes and imagine. The universe I am on is nothing but peace and darkness. The darkness is not a symbol of evil, but a symbol of calmness of the internal thoughts that dances around my brain. For it is a library, not consisting of books but consisting of the powerful memories that I carry on my mind. I write to exhale my memories into the fine air of peace and serenity. I write to lift the weight that I had been carrying on my shoulders, that same weight that I have carrying on my chest as I climb that mountain of negativity. Freedom is why I write. I write so that the darkness that overshadows my inner strength will come to light. I write so that people could read my struggles and let it soak into their minds, while the visual images float through like melodies. Writing is my ventilation. I write so I can air out my pain. I write because it takes more time to read and understand than to listen as my words go through one ear than out of the other.
