Why do we shout?

Words often spew forth from our mouths with no purpose.

Seeking freedom in our own  minds we must always clear space.

But those around us are doing the same just to empty their heads,

so often we talk more if not just to keep pace.

But is this so wrong, is silence that gleaming?

Should we seclude ourselves, our thougts, from the world

just because some are tired of the streaming

of voices with feelings and passions and dreams?

No, I refuse to silence myself.

If my thoughts mean nothing then find someone better

with whom your own words can better inter-mix.

But my words will always continue unfettered,

and perhaps one day we well all speak together.
