Why do you love him?

Why Others always asked her Why Why do you care for him As much as you do Her cheerful chirping would stop she readied herself with the response because he’s a great mystery he never says what he thinks it makes me wonder why he’ll confess to you his greatest secrets but only as you turn your head, ears pointed away He’s kind to me, yet he does his best To make it seem like that isn’t so Kindness can bound a person to another Weaken their hearts So he’d never believe himself to be kind He loves me enough to know that him being kind would only hinder me he’s going away, thinking I don’t know any of this I do not know where he plans to go Yet he loves me enough to not bind himself to me He’s a mystery As no other man Has ever acted this way with me So I care for him Because he cares for me So much She replied
