Why Do You Stay
He stares at me,
Goose bumps coat my body producing a shiver.
He walks closer,
I can feel his breath on the nape of my neck.
He beings to speak and I tense up
"You asked why I stay",
He walked around so that he was in front of me,
Cupping my face he brings my eyes to meet his,
Two oceans crashing together
"I stay even when I've messed up and you are screaming at me, because I know we'll fix it",
His hands drop to my waist right above my hips, his thumps rubbing circles,
"I stay because I am completely and utterly entranced with everything about you"
He steps close, there is no space between us,
" I stay because we are perfectly imperfect"
He leans in our foreheads resting against each other, noses brushing with every breath,
"I stay because of the trust we have, the relationship we have, the way we give confidence to each other"
He moves his head back and brings his hands up again to cup my face again his eyes piercing mine
"I stay because I love you"
