Why does it matter

Why does it matter what day you start out

Why does it matter that he has some “dope kicks”

Who cares if you spent thousands of dollars on some P.O.S clothes that you’ll only wear once

No one wants to hear the shit that went on at your house, they deal with their own

No one gives a fuck what your last name is or how you feel today

People say they care and they like you but at the end of the day they go home

You stay stuck in this prison that encases you

They all say they get it but that’s a lie cuz they run away when they see the scars on your wrist

No one understands why you put your head down in the hall

No one understands why you wear dark colors

No one cares what goes on in your life

So why should you

What does it matter if you don’t come back

They don’t care so they won’t notice

The only thing that they will notice is that there is an empty seat in the back

Hey...where’s that weird kid today

But no one cares

An education should be worth something, it shouldn’t be a chore

You shouldn’t hate getting out of bed and going

But you do...so why go anyway?
