Why even?

Now, I know I make mistakes,

because,

obviously,

no one is perfect.

But what's with the constant need to belittle me?

Does it make you feel better about yourself?

Because It's almost like everytime I screw up,

you're like a lion waiting to pounce on its

prey.

You see every slip-up as an opportunity for ridicule.

For example,

we may be doing the simplest of things,

such as watching a movie,

and I make the bonehead mistake of

voicing

an

opinion.

Any normal person would considers such an act as

our first amendment right,

but to you,

it is

an act of treason.

Perhaps an alarm goes off,

telling you that maybe,

just maybe,

YOU

AREN'T

ALWAYS

RIGHT.

And I am thankful for my upbringing,

because if it wasn't for it,

just as quickly as the alarm went off in your head,

I could have gone off on you.

That means

I had the opportunity to

stoop

            down

                         to

                               your

                                          level.

And guess what,

I didn't.

Just why, you ask?

Well, why even?

Why even make someone feel like their existence is a pestillence to this world?
