Why Go To Class?

I did not pay for you to read

off such repeated slides

I gave up this money

to learn from a guide.

To sit here and listen

to what I could read myself

cannot make me intelligent

it only drains mental health.

We could be given insight

from one who spent years

working hard for their knowledge

and not just reading to peers.

I don't want a professor

who doesn't value learning,

students are the future

not cows to be herding.
