Why I Love You
For my one and only,
People come up and ask me why I love you so
But in all honesty I really don't know.
It could be from our long conversations that keep me up at night
Or perhaps it's all our similarities that bring me much delight.
The truth is its nether of those things,
And it's impossible for be to describe what being with you brings.
My days are only whole when I see your face
And think about once again being in your embrace.
On these days when you feel down and blue,
I just want you to know that I feel for you.
For who I am now and who I'm meant to be
Is forever a piece of you and me.
When your day seems gloomy like all hope is gone,
Just think of all the future plans that we have both drawn.
So though I am far and our love seems amiss
I wouldn't trade anything for the taste of your kiss.
Our journey is just beginning its now on its way,
And from now on I'll be with you each and everyday.
So next time I'm asked why I love you like I do,
The only answer I have is that there is no one in the world more perfect than you.
