Why I Need This
In every place we all need one thing,
a thing that brings us closer to imagining.
Whether we loved it once or we loved it twice
If we live without it we have to pay a price.
Words are not enough to express why I need this, yet
I find myself miserable when the standards are not met.
This is no object, no person, no color,
But an idea that reminds me of a discover.
If you are still wondering what it is,
I will now tell you because this is not a quiz.
I simply cannot live without happiness,
which is slowy being lost in the world's busyness.
I loved it once and I loved it twice,
and I will keep on loving it beyond paradise.
Being happy has taken me places
and has attracted to my life new faces.
Faces that bring in the positive and leave out the negative.
I wish this granted miricale was in our heritage,
But since it is not, we can only pass it on to our relatives.
If I can ask you for a favor.
And although this poem is not a lifesaver,
Please, beyond anything
Always be a happy human being.
