Why I Speak

I think I want to be a warrior.
Or even a shooting star.
Maybe I can be pop star and travel places near and far...
Or maybe I can be an artist. Creating things with  such a beauty..
But how can I do that if there are things hindering me?

How can I be a speaker if I'm to afraid to speak?

How can I be a singer when  I have no song to sing?

How can I be a cheerleader when I'm waining on my cheer?

How can I be a hero when I'm some what full of fear?

I must continually fight a battle.

One that is seen and unseen.
I must forever press through struggles, for my own hopes and dreams.

I can be all that I set my mind to and achieve a higher me.

I can be an African American with a very sweet personality!
Yet it seems as if I speak to an audience who may or may not be proud.
Do I speak of those who get rowdy when unseemly music comes around?
Do I speak of those who seem or act uncomprehendingly?
Or am I speaking of strange uncovered feelings?

I Speak for the teens!

I speak for the emotionally sadden!
I speak for those whose heart aches and pains gets them maddened.
I speak for the jokers and pranksters with all of their pranks!
I speak for the confused and those who are just discovering who they are.
And what they can achieve!

I speak for the ones who would speak for me!

I speak for many reasons and yet I'm still unsure as to what it is a truly speak for...Strange isn't it? I know what I speak... But the reason I'm speaking is what I consider worth knowing... Why do I share these thoughts of mine? What is it that gives me this push...?

My drive?

Whatever the cause it is or it seems I believe that's the reason I speak....
But I still want to be a hero with a heart made of gold.
To  be called upon in times of need and save a person.
I still want to be a star...

Or at least go up into space and watch those fiery balls of gas move all about the place.

Regardless of my emotions...

My thoughts..

Opinions and beliefs...

I'll continue on this road many tend to forget...

The road of following my dreams.
