Why I Teach

I teach for a generation

And the generation after that

For a country to be molded

For a cultural mindset to be changed

To see the last of rasicm

Spilled from ignorant lips

To see the last of sexism

Breaking down both men and women

To find an end to poverty

By teaching prosperity

To create freethinkers

and open minds

To change the world

One question and one lightbulb at a time

I teach for a generation

And the generation after that
