Why I Write
we are taught our way of life by a young age
from doing name poems in elementary to haikus in middle school
somewhere in life art became a passion for me
writing is an outlet of feelings, emotions, and secrets I can’t just tell anyone
I
AM
A ARTIST
the more I began to write, I felt the more I began to see
I was learning to trust myself more than I could trust others
so many words still not enough time
words can make a simple statement magical, complicated, and a code for many
I
AM
A ARTIST
The pictures I can create with words
The secrets I can create with words
The meanings I can create with words
The characters I can create with words
The emotions I can create with words
The life I can create with words
… the life that can be taken with words
I hold the key
AM the author of my life
A ARTIST to a world so close minded
writing is my gateway drug to success, success is where I take my writing
