Why I Write
It is the shedding of my fearful soul on to defining sheets of paper.
I never realized how badly I needed this to be a part of me
Until it was the best part of me. I never asked myself why I wrote my life into stone or why I wrote,I just knew I needed to.
I needed to write because sometimes sound seemed forbidden.
I write because sometimes my thoughts got stuck on repeat.
I think it was the change in my breaths that day or maybe it was my thirst for deeper self love that drew me to you.
I don't know...but I knew I wrote because it was the only way to formally meet myself.
The best way to welcome me to this world.
I use to write because it felt right...now I write because sometimes the skin I'm in seems surreal and my only ticket back to reality is to navigate it on this piece of paper.
My physical words feed the butterflies in my stomach, I write to keep them satisfied.
I write because it makes my whole body smile when I successfully read my reflection.
I use to write when the cracking of my own voice scared me.
I now write because I wanna be more than felt...I want to be remembered.
