Why I Write

I write to express my thoughts and feelings, Feelings so deep within, I write to thank the teachers who were willing, Willing to help my poetry writing begin, I write to spread knowledge to others, Others who may not know the same, I write to every sister and brother, Brothers and anyone else who's felt ashamed, I write to help pass time, Time need not be wasted, I write to leave stress and pass thoughts behind, Behind like a bad nightmare after you've faced it, I write to express feelings deep in my heart, Heart so full of love and happiness, I write to bring those together who were once apart, Apart, separated from joy and bliss, I write to fulfill my dream, A dream of becoming a writer and poet, I write to fill the gaps between, Between, on top and below it, I write so everyone will know, Know why I write,' I write so that my emotions show, Show the reasons why I write.
