This is why I write.

Like running water, I find them always. Words, sentences, entire paragraphs. Sometimes they're only fragments, they make no sense at all. And sometimes, they're profound thoughts, that resonate at the base of my soul. But I know I'm not alone. I know I'm not the only one who has these endless thoughts. They are why I write. If i can not remove them from my mind they will devour me. Taking over my senses until I am lost in them. Echoing, always with memories of you, of moments lost to time and no one but my self. I don't expect them to change the world, that is not their purpose. No. they are meant for me. To give to you a tiny piece of my self that no one knew existed. To show you, that you are always there. Like the wind in the trees, your voice echos in my head eternally. I have no great purpose in life. I have no high status. But, I do have my words. Maybe someday, after I am long dead and buried, someone will find them and see in them a love that they have also felt. That is why I write. For those like me, who think they are alone. And, for those who know there is a tomorrow. Who will look at the insignificant words, and find in them a hope for better things. For a new day. This is why I write.
