Why I Write

To be heard when I can't speak. To tie words with rhythm. To not have to make sense to anyone but myself. This is why I write. To influence others. To give glory to God. To show the world why I am important, why I live, why I matter. This is why I write. To bring joy among my peers. To spread my ideals. To speak words that are hard to say. This is why I write. To not have to as though my ideas are inferior. To show the world how I see it. To touch the hands of others to do good, to touch their eyes to see what's right, to touch their ears that they may hear truth, and to touch their hearts they that may feel love. This is why I write. I am a poet, a quier thinker, a listener, a philosopher, a lover. That is why I write.
