Why I Write

So much built up, no one to talk to, no one to listen. Pen in my hand, maybe this paper will. 8.5" x 11", no emotions, no feelings, yet I feel as though it understand me truly. When I'm writing its like I'm on a road alone, no traffic, no cars, easy street. Nobody understands me, they think I'm in a world of my own. They ask me all the time what do I get out of it, why do I write. I write when my mind is cluttered, when I feel like I'm alone and I cant understand the world around me. I write like its all I know, I pick up my pen and I go. Where? I go home. Home is where the heart is right? My heart is wrapped up in poetry. I write. I write like I'm addicted. Like its all I know. Cause even when there's no one there my pen and paper will be. I'll surely have some things to say. I write that's what I do.
