Why I Write
Why I write, you ask me?
I write for not only you but me,
It’s something that makes me feel as free as a breeze
My toes curls as my heart race
That pen to a paper is the only thing that can put a smile on my face.
Why I write, you ask me?
I write to show me,
Show the world a me that they’ve never seen
That me that hides behind closed doors
That only comes out when I’m writing a poem or a folklore
Why I write you ask me?
It’s my expression
My passion
My fire
My adrenaline rush
My high
My low
And most of all my hidden alter ego
What you see is what you get
What I wrote is, is what I wept
Why I write you ask me?
Cause nobody understands me like him
That him that listens to my every whim
That him that glides like the tip of my ballpoint pen when with paper it collides
He is I, and I am him
He and I have that special connection
I write to soothe my soul
I write to show my youth and hide the old
I write lullabies and melodies
I write to fill my inner needs
I write to make myself happy
I write because I can, and because I please
To explore a new world,
A world never shown before
That world that only writers see
that has so many adventures
that readers could only read
So many doors waiting to be opened
Filled with surprises, love, and so much more
I write because I love it
and it loves me
the love we have will last for eternity
Why I write you ask me once again?
I write so my soul can win and be explored
