why i write
I write because when tragedy struck and I was lost for words, the pen never failed me. Pressed up against the paper as drips of tears fell, feelings began to pour out. When you’re in a house filled of people and you still feel alone, the only thing I could count on was my poetry. Trying to write something uplifting after experiencing the worst pain. Your sweet escape might be the beach, but mine happens to be poetry. No one will quite understand how much feelings are entangled in each word. To really understand the depth of words is an incredible feeling. Poetry is a remedy, a getaway from reality.
Every poem tells a deep story, or a confession. To understand it is to love it.
