Why I write

So, you ask me why I write Why the flow of words poetically come from my brain to the sheet of paper? Why when my heart overflows with joy or sadness I grab a piece of paper? Why is it that when I am in love I want to express it with words? So, you ask me why I write? It is a gateway to the deepest feelings I can't say out loud It's the words I keep in the deepest part of my soul The thing that I want to express but my lips can't for them Only when the pencil hits the paper is the only time those feelings come alive Every word that I mean to say seems to come out like I am a poetic genius Each play of words coming out to match what I mean to say How I mean to feel What I mean to express So, you ask me why I write? Well, I ask you why not?
