Why I Write

When I am sad,

I write poetry. 

It lets me show sorrow

Without hurting myself or others.

When I am happy, 

I write poetry. 

It shows the joy

Buried inside of my heart. 

No matter my mood, 

I write poetry. 

I write all the time. 

It shows my every emotion. 

Even the ones I try to hide. 

And that 

Is why I write.
