Why I Write

I write because no one else can tell my story, I write because without expression I won’t belong. This world is full of contradictory practices, With my poetry, I can find understanding in which I am and why I do the things I do. I can find meaning in the little things Such as holding someone’s hand, hugs, kiss, spending time, and appreciating those around you. I write because it makes me happy, It provides me with an archive of my life. A personal journal that I can reflect on when I am old, Writing is more than just an entry that is read once, But a masterpiece of continual progression that marks all growth. I write because my words have meaning, They have a place in someone else’s life. Someone out they needs to hear my words and be encouraged. I use my poetry to reflect my own personality and how I care for others. I hope that my words might be the light that guides someone out of darkness When this world becomes too much to handle. I hope that my words bring peace into someone else’s life and provide comfort. I write because I need to share my testimony. Everyone has a story to tell.
