Why I Write

Why live in a world Filled with anger and hate? Sometimes I wonder, How do I keep going? The world is empty and full at the same time Filled with despair and possibilities all at once. From the crumbled ashes of of dead-beat thoughts Springs a fiery phoenix. It lights up the dark with a vengeance Spewing golden flames and rekindling the fire. The ashes are my life, The phoenix is my imagination. My imagination lights a fire inside That I have to let out. So I fill the paper with words, And that's what keeps me going. That is why I write.
