Why I write

There's fire in my throat

My anger is the kindling

My passion the logs

The feeling of injustice is within me

Words left unspoken too long

I can't say it out loud

It feels to wrong

So I douse the flames with water

Try to cool down

But the flames build higher

And I need to come around

So I write it all down

Every feeling

Every thought

Each and every word

I had left to rot

Spread on the page

Like wildfire

A burning blaze

I can't stop the words

They overpower me

They are everything I

Couldn't keep inside of me
