Why I write.
I write to rid my self of demons. Things that haunt my every dream, I write to find catharsis, to find a realease. I write so I won't be silent without a voice, un-named. I write to understand , sadness, joy, pain. I write because in these words I am safe. The world is scary, and poetry is my escape. and, sometimes my words come alive, and dance across the page. I write to be someone else, and at the same time to be me. the real girl that few people ever see. I write because for me it's breath without it I would suffacate. I write because when life was dark, and didn't seem worth the pain. it was either fall apart, or scrawl words on a blank page. I write because it's honest, and poetry doesn't lie. I write because it's my version of getting high. perhaps you won't understand these words. If you don't it's ok, but, I'm trusting you with words I wouldn't ever say. To read my poetry to someone is like standing their undressed. Poetry was my salvation I hope it saves you to.
