Why I Write

I write for them

The ones who have doors slammed

Who hear the screams

Their own muffled cry inaudible

I write for the people

The lost-

The confused

The ones who carry on

Without anyone

I write for the families

Who have fallen apart

But superglue themselves together

I write for my father

Whom laid in bed for months

Slowly wilting away-

Like a forgotten vase of flowers

I write for people

The abused

The confused

The broken

The sick-

Me

I write so we can be heard
