Why i Write

I used to write to love; now i only love to write. You see, i only grab my pen when my knuckles turn to white. The voices that i have in me only shut up when i note The type of things i see and hear times i'm afloat. I recite so that i may be reminded of the strength Of beauty I've observes and defend it at length. I write to tell peoples why i wish they were dean and gone. I write to finally admit to someone i was wrong. I'm a poet because mourning is harder then it looks. I'm a poet because, when i was young, all i had were my books. A broken life and family does not a poet make, But if my soul does not make me one, i pray the Lord my soul to take.
