Why I Write

I write to breathe better

And to see more clearly.

I write in the hope that

Someone is gonna hear me.

My hand just yearns to move

Across an untouched page,

Like a bird wishes to

At last be free; uncaged.

Every word I write demands

To be finally heard.

Who am I

To deny them?
