Why i Write
Why do I write?
I write because it’s the easiest way for me
To express my feelings.
With poetry, I don’t have to rhyme like a rap or flow like a song,
I can just simply put my thoughts and
Feelings into a deep story like form for others to enjoy starting with
Pain. When I see this word I flash back into my past. All the pain I’ve felt. All the tears I’ve cried. All the nights I couldn’t sleep. Scared to turn a corner out of,
Fear. I live my life in it. After everything that took place I fear the thought of sleeping, the thought of being loved, or walking anywhere alone. But I smile to keep others
Satisfied. I don’t live my life to make me happy. I live my life to please others. I figure if I can make everyone else smile and be happy, their happiness will rub off on me. But happiness isn’t real without
Joy. True joy comes from above. It’s beyond a feeling that any human being can give me. When I’m down and out I fall to my knees crying out please, hoping and wishing that I can feel the slightest bit of
Love. It’s all around, everywhere I go I see it, I feel it, I hear it, and I know it’s real. And I have it in the center of my hands, I just have to hold on to it tightly so that I won’t fall for just anything, ill fall for what’s
Real. But what exactly does that mean? Does it mean I can see it and touch it so it’s real? No, when its real it just happens, no planning, no forcing, it just flows, like a river, with ripples in the
Water. Like my sign. Yes I’m a water baby. But don’t drink me, or you’ll feel a sting and it’s full of poison. Rich in texture and deadly enough to slowly or quickly take the precious thing called your
Life. So adore it, cherish it, you only get one. Live it to the fullest, live lit like there’s no tomorrow, because tomorrow isn’t promised.
So even with pain and fear around to make sure you’re not satisfied
Keep confidence that you will gain joy and real love,
That will come along flowing like water and just
Float your worries away throughout life.
