Why I write

Poetry is a stress releaser for me.

Poetry isn't just a writing form to me and is more than an art form.

It enables me to express the inner me using only pen and paper.

It allows me to use rhythm, rhyme and my blues to get out of my fuse,triggering a new appetite using the words of delight with this form I emerge from the darkness unto light.

I've been writing poetry since I was eight years old.

I was introduced to this form of writing by my sister that has so much soul.

Using this form of writing it changed my life's direction and unfolded the once uptight scary me to aspiring to be: a motivated ,well educated, fearless, poetic, non edited,original African American queen.

With this form my story no longer remains untold through my expressions and poetry sessions;

I open my book to my life list of progression to my listeners and readers.

Poetry is my everything and this is what it means to me.
