Why I Write

I'll describe the light:

It is good,

For under my Sun,

I've built the earth

In my mind's vision,

And its inhabitants act

To my discretion.

Come, I'll be the guide;

See it in my eyes;

See my statement upon the word--

See my statement about the world.

To you, it is fiction;

To me, a mirror--

A mirror which reshapes,

But shows the same,

For here inscripted

Upon a tome, upon paper,

I rewrote the world,

In my own image.

L.A.G.

I'm an aspiring fiction writer with a whole lot of things on my mind. I like to think of my writing as a sort of diary, and those who read anything that I've written are stepping into my thoughts and emotions. That doesn't mean I write love stories or complaints about the state of society. No, I think that is all great, but I believe that poets and authors could do a lot more than just talk about other people. I like it when I read things about people's inner emotions about themselves. Writers such as H.P. Lovecraft are the types that I really enjoy because his writing is his life (albeit, with a horrific twist). So if you're looking for something different to read, come see my poems. I love using archaic language and symbolism and I do tend to use darker details.
