Why I write

Nostalgia fills my nostrils as I tread

Reminiscing of a day that now has fled
A day when words were what the people bled

Young eyes easily fool
Elderly ears are muffled as a rule
Yet, emotions are a worthy tool

Emotions are our own, we cannot fake
Even if we try they somehow amalgamate
Until we have no choice, some call it fate

I write to remember
I write to realize my existence
I write to feel
