Why I Write
Put pen to paper
And let the thoughts flow with the ink;
Let it show what you think.
Thoughts that can't be formed with tongue
Are best expressed without lung.
Not the sound of voice,
But with words of your choice.
When an idea needs a body,
Let it be born on the page.
"Eyes" formed from dotting:
Its substance is made.
Painters use brushes.
Orators, eloquent words.
Writers need not eloquence--
Just an idea, time,
And a pen.
