Why i Write
Why I Write
I write because my words need to be heard
People need to know my name because these words we use to breathe life is not a game
I write because I need my freedom to be me
I need to be able to show my individuality
I write because I need to be able to say what’s on my mind
And people need to know how I feel
How do I keep it real with no words?
I write because I know with this pen and paper my dreams could come true
It’s all up to you to listen to what I have to say
I write because if are voices of the world were never heard
We would never know how each other feels
Or what’s on each other’s mind in time we need that
If you never pick up your pen how do you express your emotions within?
I write because if you don’t hear me you don’t hear us
You don’t know how to trust your society, community and the world.
I write because you need to know my story
You need to know my pain
And please always remember my name
I write because no one else can speak for me
You can ignore me or adore me if you want to
But you will know what I have to say and what’s on my mind
