WHY I WRITE
I write because I am scorned on the inside
From the stab wounds of betrayal of those loved ones who just needed someone to trample over to get by
From the roughness of the streets
and my inability to find peace
Thanks to society around me-
and inner racism that peaks.
Cause I yearn for that love a higher male figure
Though I recieved beatings and watched as he distorted my image and made me look disfigured
I write to tell stories of the hell I have lived and risen
as a survivor who just needs escape roots so she can just let all be forgiven
to leave behind a legacy that doesnt forbid mistakes
but allows them to build them up so noone can ever doubt or be able to forsake
