Why I Write
For moments filled with happiness,
dread, excitement, or despair.
For moments that provoke thoughts,
or those that pose questions.
This is why I write.
For those who do not have a voice,
or do not know how to speak up.
For those who have something to say,
but just can’t figure out how to say it.
This is why I write.
For the friends I never want to forget,
and the memories I want to capture.
For the people I wish I could forget,
while somehow retaining the impact they had on my life.
This is why I write.
