Why I Write

Why I Write

By Chad Ward Jr.

I write when I’m Happy.

I write when I’m sad.

I write whenever there is a reason to.

I write when I’m mad.

I write to paint a picture that everyone can see.

I write whenever I have the time, that’s if that time is free.

I write to elaborate on issues.

Some big and some small.

I write to give an answer,

As if those issues are a bunch of calls.

I write from my soul.

I write from my heart.

My brain works extremely hard to formulate these lines of passion.

I write because I’m smart.

I write to make a difference.

I write to bring the world change.

I write to influence individuals,

Whether we are of different color or the same.

I write because I AM A POET!
