Why I Write
I write because I am given the chance to,
for my siblings who I want to reach out to.
I write to make a difference in this world,
this predestined plan that is being unfurled.
But is it predestined, or coincidental,
for simple phrases to become continental.
Words like "I have a dream"
are much more than what they seem.
We are built on the words of our founding fathers,
and women who sought to liberate their daughters.
Countries are united by simple words,
fought in battles and went heavenwards.
I write to unite
I write to inspire
For those without rights,
This is my desire:
there is liberty for you
and all your endeavours
do what you're destined to
in this life of yours
