Why I Write

I write because paper doesn't betray me

Friends and foes are all the same to me

I can use a pen for months before it runs out of ink

But friends go quicker than an eye's blink

Or so I think.. I always get the short end of the stick

The only thing left to do is express it with my Bic

I found that giving your all to mankind

Is a hell of a waste of my time

I used to try so hard to be the best friend I could be

But what I found out is that no one returned that favor to me

I'm not bitter don't misunderstand what I say

I'm just trying to testify why people go their separate way

I trust sparingly and believe only what I see

It is the only way I know someone is really there for me

To finally break down my walls for this person, I might

But until I get to that point..

This is why I write
